In his 28-plus years in the custom home construction business, David Bernstein has earned a reputation for setting the standards of excellence in residential construction. He began his professional career processing building permits, working his way up in the family business gaining experience in virtually every area of the residential construction process. His skills include land acquisition and development, financing, subcontractor relations, scheduling and budgeting, product development and merchandising, personnel management, building code compliance and quality control. He’s worked in the role of Project Superintendent, Project Manager, Sales Manager, Production Manager, Vice President and hands-on Partner. Today, as founder of Crestwood Homes, David is able to draw upon his vast understanding of the business to successfully communicate and coordinate with a team of Bankers, Land Planners, Architects, Designers and Subcontractors to effectively redefine the building experience for his clients.
Among David’s accomplishments are Union Farm in Mt. Vernon, VA; The Courts of Foxhall in Washington, D.C.; The Townes of Falls Park in Falls Church, VA; custom homes in The Kentlands in Gaithersburg, MD; and custom homes in Lyon Village in Arlington, VA. He is particularly proud of capturing the prestigious Finest for Family Living awards on two separate occasions.
A long-term resident of metropolitan D.C. for 46 years, David relocated to Colorado to pursue development of the Rocky Mountain’s newest elite residential community, Dercum’s Dash in Keystone, Colo.
David has been married to his wife, Kellie, for 18 years and has three sons. A solid family man, David’s interests include skiing, trail biking, golfing, traveling and most importantly, he enjoys family time, tackling any adventure with his boys.
